Announcements:
This Week: 4/10-4/13
We are getting closer and closer to EOG's!  Remind students that this is not a time to stress out and worry about what's coming, but a time to reflect on all that we have learned this year.
We will be starting a Unit on Measurement this week in Math.  Students will need to know the units of measurement for Customary and Metric.  We will wrap up Simple Machines in Science, and start Ecosystems.  For Reading, we will start working more with Comprehension review, working with short stories each week.  The American Culture projects are due this Friday!

Reminders and Updates:

-A BIG THANKS to the Grissino family for donating our brand new pencil sharpener!!!!

--As your child may have told you, we now have a few classroom pets (2 pacman frogs, some fish, and a baby turtle)!  The kids are really enjoying them and it has offered chances for them to learn about these animals and I will continue to use them as apart of instruction.  The frogs require feeding of small fish and crickets, and there may be times when we will feed them chicks or mice.  If you would prefer your child to not be in the room during feeding time, just have them speak to me and I will allow them to step out for a few!

-There will be no tutoring this week or next due to us not being in school on these two Mondays.

-There are two fundraiser nights this week!  The first is on Wednesday 4/11 at CiCi's and the second is Thursday at Texas Roadhouse.  Please continue to support our school!

-DARE is starting to rap up.  DARE graduation is Friday April 27th at 9:00 in the gym.  There will be light refreshments afterwards.  Please come and support your child on this special occasion.  Afterwards, the students, Ms. Kinley, and I, will be going to CiCi's and the Bowling Alley for the rest of the day.  This trip is for teachers and student ONLY!  We would like to have this time with our students before the end of the year and EOG's.

The Box Presentaions in Raleigh were terrific!!  Thanks to all of you who came with your child and supported them!  We had a fun time!
